About everlight stories
Some stories are too precious to forget. Some lives are too beautiful to let fade quietly into time.
At Everlight Stories, we believe that the memories of those we have loved and lost deserve more than a photograph in a drawer or a name in a program. They deserve to be told. To be held. To be passed down through generations with all the warmth, detail, and dignity they carry.
We are devoted to helping grieving families preserve the essence of their loved ones through beautifully crafted narrative books, faith-informed grief resources, and compassionate storytelling support — because memories should not die, and love should never be reduced to silence.
Everlight Stories was recognised as Business of the Year 2025 by the African Professionals of Australia, Queensland Chapter, an honour we hold with deep gratitude and a renewed sense of purpose.
Meet Rudo
Founder of Everlight Stories
Rudo Maritsa is a registered nurse, storyteller, grief advocate, and the heart behind Everlight Stories. She built this business not from theory, but from the inside of grief itself.
Her Story
In 2019, Rudo lost her 13-year-old son, Asher, a fearless, joyful, and deeply loved young man who lit up every room he entered. Alongside her two younger children, aged 4 and 10 at the time, and supported by her husband Cloppers, a brave champion of Everlight Stories and everything it stands for.
In the quiet after loss, she encountered a fear many grieving families carry but rarely name: the fear of forgetting. Of details fading. Of a beautiful life slowly growing silent. That fear became her purpose. Everlight Stories was born.
Her Calling
With years of experience in nursing, aged care, and palliative care, Rudo knows how to sit with people in their most vulnerable moments, to listen, witness, and care without rushing.
She is a Brainz Magazine Executive Contributor, a grief literacy advocate, and a speaker. In 2025, Everlight Stories was proudly honoured as Business of the Year by the African Professionals of Australia, Queensland Chapter.
